Where do you want to promote your business? There are two elements that must be a part of your website to get to the top of page one; keyword optimization and back links. Your website has to have the words that I type into my search box as a part of your title, description, keyword list and content or you don’t appear in my list of possible matches. The most popular of those that do match appear at the top. Popularity is measured by number of links and quality of links. In other words, the site with the most influential friends wins.
Besides above one of the best ways to promote your business is through article marketing. There are many article directories online that you can submit your articles to for free. Most of these article directories allow you to leave a link back to your website in the authors resource box. The more back links you have, the higher your website will rank in the organic search results. With article marketing you will get traffic two fold, through the articles themselves and through the search engines. The key to making your article marketing campaign work is consistency. Don’t over do it and don’t under do it. Some people submit 2 articles a week and some submit up to a handful or more per day. It really all depends on how competitive your niche is.
